Paper offers surprise moments that the cloud doesn't.

I have been trying to move myself off paper – onto nothing but a computer based business because I’ve told myself it will be more efficient and I can be more effective and all that may be true and I must believe it to some degree because when I have moments here and there I will take paperwork – weed/read through it – and chuck it – generally.  My carbon footprint is getting smaller and my files overfloweth – less!

But I came across a card which was send me by a client – snail mail and it provided me with a moment of rest and thankfulness that my cloud efficiency has yet to provoke in me.

Tom wrote me the following recently:

Thanks you!

For helping me get and keep focus..For helping realize the importance of positive thinking….for listening to my “rants” and “musings”… for offering wonderful alternatives to the status quo…. for kicking my butt (in the nicest way)…for forcing me to be as organized as I have been ever.  I look forward to a great year ahead and expect to make some big decisions that relate to what and where I want to be when I grow up… PS.  I somehow achieved Diamond in #2011 (#3) – I think they fudged it… All the best!   end quote.

The value of his thoughts, his efforts to write, address, stamp and mail – very appreciated when I originally received it and I saved it – and re-read it again – and am feeling re-blessed today!

I can’t think of one moment when my smaller carbon footprint has done that for me!  Thanks Tom –  You don’t know it but you made my day today.  And I am going to keep this in my file – so your thoughts can take me by surprise – another day!

For today – Thanks Tom!    Back to work!!
