Congrats to Julie Morris in the Toronto marketplace. Julie has been in real estate a while – and is at the place where she could comfortably predict from year to year – with only a tinge of uncertainty- what she might earn in any given year. There were a couple of years recently that things didn’t work out quite so well but those were also the years that some significant personal events occured which sent her business focus into a bit of a tailspin. Life seems to move on and Julie moved on with it. She decided to get back to being serious about her business. She got into coaching -(I think a good thing -especially as she also got herself a couple of youngsters with visions of “easy street” to join up with her and she felt they might be able to give them work through some a surplus of buyers – who would hopefully turn up!) This has been an interesting journey of success! She is proving to be an amazing teacher/mentor to her young proteges – she’s loving every moment and these newbies are beginning their careers – learning step by step all the fundamentals they never teach you in school! When you are back to loving what you do it seems amazing things begin to happen – Julies story is no exception! In an marketplace where the average house sells for about $385K Julie has just closed her first deal at a whopping 2.7 million $$$ – and a Heritage property to boot! Her highest sale in her career – in what will go into history as a “bad” market year- (at least for the first two quarters.) This sale was no accident. No listing and praying it will sell! No sticking a sign on the lawn and hoping the property would sell itself. A plan, a strategy, execution and a payoff. Congratulations on a well deserved result! A new personal best! I won’t forget the other sale at 1.5 million either which is another stand alone story although it pales in significance to the 2.7 million. I know for Julie – it’s all very good – but I also sense the personal satisfaction she feels knowing it could be done, knowing she did it and knowing how easily it can now be done again. Her young superstars know it is not an “easy street” story – but with consistent, daily effort placed in the right things they know they can enjoy success too. Julie’s leading the way!
